Senator DiDomenico spent time with constituents during the 40th anniversary celebration of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Constituents Day at the State House. DiDomenico also met with his friend, Michelle Motta Dardeno, the Chair of the Statewide Advisory Council for the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH), to learn more about their priorities. The Senator also met with Dr. Opeoluwa Sotonwa, who is the Commissioner for the MCDHH.

“I am proud to be an active supporter of this community, and it was such a joy to spend time with friends of mine from the district during their advocacy day,” said DiDomenico.

Senator DiDomenico recently spoke with teachers about their legislative agenda during the AFT Massachusetts lobby day at the State House. “As a husband of a special education teacher, I am proud to support and advocate for their priorities through legislation and the budget each and every year,” said Senator DiDomenico.

AFT MA members visited 70 legislators & their offices during their lobby day to advocate for Retirement Plus and other essential bills and funding to support students, communities, and working families.

Senator DiDomenico and his Chief of Staff, Christie Getto Young, recently visited a Boston University health policy class to talk about their paths getting into public service, advocacy skills, and public health bills in the state house like the Healthy Youth Act which he champions.

“It is inspiring to hear from young people who are so passionate about making our world a better place and ensuring all our neighbors are safe and healthy,” said Senator DiDomenico. “I also want to thank Professor Jamie Klufts for inviting us to speak and for all her advocacy on the Healthy Youth Act and other public health legislation.”
