Senator DiDomenico joined Project Bread, Cindy Long, the Food and Nutrition Service Administrator for the US Department of Agriculture, Representative Andy Vargas, and many others for a roundtable discussion celebrating the work that the legislature, schools, and anti-hunger organizations have done in Massachusetts ensuring robust access to school meals.

“I am proud to work alongside these dedicated groups, advocates, and colleagues and we will keep pushing and advocating until the Universal School Meals program is fully funded and made permanent in our state,” said Senator Sal DiDomenico. "This is the year to make it happen and our students and families should not have to worry about food in our schools.  Making free universal school meals permanent throughout the Commonwealth is one of my highest priorities this session."

Triangle, Inc., an organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities and their families to enjoy rich and fulfilling lives, awarded State Senator Sal DiDomenico with their prestigious Public Servant of the Year award. The non-profit hosted their Annual Awards Ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston. Senator DiDomenico has been a long-time supporter of Triangle, Inc. and their commitment to helping the world realize that we are all people with ability. He has secured over $1 million to help them serve people with disabilities throughout Greater Boston and support their work in our communities.

From their CEO, Coleman Nee, to every member of their amazing team they lead with their heart and change lives each day,” said Senator Sal DiDomenico.

Senator DiDomenico invited Everett High School students to display their artwork throughout the State House 4th floor gallery. DiDomenico hosted a reception for the students, teachers, parents, and Everett School Department in his office and was joined by State Representative Dan Ryan, State Representative Joe McGonagle, State Representative Judith García, and Superintendent Priya Tahiliani.

“This is a great way to showcase our community's talented young artists to visitors and elected officials from across Massachusetts. Thank you to all of our student artists and Art Director Cari DiCicco for bringing their amazing talents to the State House,” said Senator Sal DiDomenico.
